How Coldspell dryers work The warm compressed air entering a Coldspell dryer is pre-cooled in the air–air heat exchanger by the stream of cold air flowing out. The pre-cooled air passes through an air–refrigerant heat exchanger. Here it is further cooled, down to +3°C to +7°C. At this temperature, most of the water in the air condenses, forming liquid droplets. This condensate is removed from the air stream by a very efficient demister and automatically discharged from the dryer by a Trident automatic drain valve. The cold, dry compressed air passes through the secondary side of the air–air heat exchanger, where it is reheated by the incoming warm air. This reheating prevents ‘sweating’ on the downstream pipe.

Knitting Compressed Air Dryers is a vital part of the textile industry in all phases of spinning, weaving, loom, and knitting. Why do we need Air Dryers? Blow room to ring frame consist of a pneumatic system with solenoid valves and cylinders which are operated with compressed air. It is necessary that the air has to be clean and dry, in order to keep it away from rust formation and condensation which could corrode the smooth surfaces of the cylinder. Alternatively, the foreign particles could lock the solenoid valves orifice which may delay the movement of the cylinder which causes the alignment problem of the machine. One more important machine in spinning process is auto corner which has lots of solenoid valves and cylinders which are high speed through precisions. Hence the need to have the high degree of cleanliness in the air could be met only with desiccant dryer and submicron filters. In Airjet Weaving / Spinning: Compressed air blown through fine nozzles to transport the weft. Moisture and oil in the air block the nozzles. Nozzle replacement, production losses, fabric staining will also result in causing product rejections. Production of man-made raw materials for use in textiles also uses compressed air. One of the applications in the pneumatic transport of PVC, PTA . For the texturing process, the yarn is intermingled using a jet of air through the nozzle. Blockage due to oil, moisture will cause uneven intermingling and destroy the yarn and staining.

  • The versatile control panel displays the dryer on/off status, drain open/closed status, refrigeration compressor status and drain valve status as well as the number of hours run, the air inlet temperature and the dew point temperature.
